I am a Ph.D. candidate in Measurement, Evaluation, Statistics, and Assessment (Policy Evaluation concentration) at Boston College's Lynch School of Education and Human Development.
I study how educational policies and programs shape students’ trajectories, from K–12 schooling choices to postsecondary and workforce transitions. My current and prior work has focused on school and program choice systems, including career and technical education (CTE).
Using quantitative methodologies for causal inference and large-scale administrative datasets, I examine both the intended and unintended outcomes of reforms to inform evidence-based policies that expand educational opportunities for underrepresented students.
Before starting my doctoral studies, I worked as a public elementary school teacher and a research assistant on government-funded projects in South Korea. I earned my B.A. in Elementary Education and M.Ed. in Educational Administration from the Seoul National University of Education in South Korea.
