I am an incoming Postdoctoral Fellow (Sep 2026) at the Center for Education Policy Research (CEPR), Harvard University. I am a recipient of the 2026 AERA–NSF Dissertation Grant and 2026 Horowitz Foundation for Social Policy Dissertation Award.
My research examines how educational policies and programs shape students’ pathways, from K–12 schooling to college and workforce transitions. Current and prior work focuses on school and program choice systems, including career and technical education (CTE).
Using quantitative methodologies for causal inference with large-scale administrative datasets, I study both the intended and unintended outcomes of reforms to inform evidence-based policies that expand educational opportunities for underrepresented students.
I recently earned my Ph.D. in Measurement, Evaluation, Statistics, and Assessment (Education Policy Evaluation concentration) from Boston College. Before starting my doctoral studies, I was a public elementary school teacher and a research assistant on government-funded projects in South Korea. I received my B.A. in Elementary Education and M.Ed. in Educational Administration from Seoul National University of Education.
