I am a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Education Policy Research (CEPR), Harvard University. My research examines how educational policies and programs shape students’ pathways, from K–12 schooling to college and workforce transitions. Current and prior work focuses on choice-based policies, particularly school choice and career and technical education (CTE).

Using quantitative methodologies for causal inference with large-scale administrative data, I study both the intended and unintended outcomes of these reforms to inform evidence-based policy that expands opportunity for underrepresented students and strengthens the public systems that serve them. 

I am an affiliate of the Labor, Education, and Policy (LEAP) Lab and a recipient of the 2026 AERA–NSF Dissertation Grant and 2026 Horowitz Foundation for Social Policy Dissertation Award.

I completed my Ph.D. in Measurement, Evaluation, Statistics, and Assessment (Policy Evaluation concentration) at Boston College. Before starting my doctoral studies, I worked as a public elementary school teacher in South Korea. I received my B.A. in Elementary Education and M.Ed. in Educational Administration from Seoul National University of Education.
